Pee Dee Nutrition, 853 Chesterfield Highway: October 2022
It's my understanding that Pee Dee Nutrition was a store that sold health foods. This was not their first location; previously, the store was downtown, though I cannot find the downtown address. It's not clear why Pee Dee Nutrition moved away from downtown to this particular location. Aside from an office that appears to be used by Lee Real Estate at the original storefront for Carter Jewelers, Pee Dee Nutrition was the only tenant at Chesterfield Commons. If you were driving by, you really had to be paying attention to notice the place, which was no short distance from the road. I cannot imagine that helped their business.
The storefront at 853 Chesterfield Highway may be familiar to you for a different reason. It was the original location for Sub Station II.
