McBrides Park & Shop, 61 Second Street: 2015
McBride's Park & Shop was a convenience store located right next to McBride's Quality Cleaners. Given that both businesses are so close together and also the fact that they share the same family name, it seems that both were owned and operated by the same person or at least within the same family. Their Facebook page shows someone last checking in back in January of 2015. Because I can't find any later references to McBride's Park & Shop, let's just say they closed in 2015.
Other than some broken windows, the building appears to be in decent shape. I bet another convenience store could still do fair business at this location, for there is plenty of traffic coming down this stretch of road, and I usually see folks walking by this way or riding bikes.
