Cabin Creek Restaurant / Big C's Cabin Creek, 2529 Highway 1 South: August 2023
Cabin Creek Restaurant was a casual steakhouse located on Highway 1 on the outskirts of Cheraw near the point where Highways 1 and 52 fork. In its recent incarnation, the restaurant was called Big C's Cabin Creek, and their Facebook page states that not only was this restaurant established in 1952, it was also apparently the oldest restaurant in Chesterfield County, albeit under various owners over the years. That's a pretty solid run for a restaurant or any business really.
This restaurant's run as Big C's Cabin Creek lasted from 2019 to 2023. According to their last post on their Facebook page, Big C's Cabin Creek officially closed in August of last year. The reasons given were the challenges that were encountered with the COVID-19 pandemic and rising costs.
