Jamakin Everything, 106 Duvall Street: March 2023
Jamakin Everything, as you can probably guess by the name, was a restaurant specializing in Jamaican cuisine. It was located in the little row of storefronts behind the old Cheraw Hardware. Since the newest review I could find online was from around March of last year, I am stating that as the closing date. This observation goes along with my memory of seeing this storefront empty around that time.
My wife and I had talked about eating at Jamakin Everything at some point, but unfortunately, we never made it there so I have no personal opinion on this restaurant. Their website is still online, but it does not appear to have been finished given the website name. If you try to click on View Menu, you will get an error message because it points to jamakineverything.com, which would be the name that I would expect for the website.
Unsurprisingly, pictures of some of the food that you could get at Jamakin Everything are shown on the main page, and the food certainly looks appetizing. Scrolling down to the bottom of the main page, the business hours show that they were open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon to 6 PM. Because those hours of operation were fairly short, I wonder if these weren't the initial business hours. Typically, a restaurant will reduce its hours of operation when it isn't doing well.
